Passenger Van Rental in Copperas Cove, TX
A family in Copperas Cove plans a reunion, and suddenly there are eleven people and two cars. A church group wants to attend an event on the other side of the county and nobody wants to drive alone. A household is moving, and the people need somewhere to sit while the truck carries the boxes.
Those are the trips GrindHouse Transport & Rentals is set up for. We are a Killeen company renting self-drive passenger vans to groups in Copperas Cove and across the surrounding area.
Why groups here rent instead of carpooling
Carpooling works until it does not. Someone’s car is in the shop. Someone has to leave early. Someone’s trunk will not fit the coolers. A rented van takes all of that off the table for the length of the trip, and it puts the group in one place so the day can actually be planned.
It also keeps the wear off your own vehicle. A long day of driving with a full load is hard on a personal car, and the families we hear from would rather pay a flat daily rate than put those miles on the sedan they use for work.
Two vans to choose from
The Ford Transit passenger van is the everyday option at $179.00 per day. The E-350 High-Roof 15-passenger van is the larger option at $249.00 per day, with a high roof that makes boarding easier for a full group with bags.
Both are non-CDL vans and both are self-drive. The customer drives, so the driver comes from your own group.
Mileage, deposits and fees in one place
Mileage is 200 free miles per day. Past that, it is $0.75 per mile. Unlimited mileage is available on request if you would rather not think about it.
The security deposit is a refundable card hold taken at pickup, not a charge. It is $250 for the Transit and $500 for the E-350. Out-of-state trips require larger holds: $500 for the Transit and $1,000 for the E-350. No money leaves your account unless there is damage, loss or a late return.
The van comes back with a full tank, or market rate for fuel applies plus a $25 fee. There is a $75 cleaning fee per rental.
Free up to 7 days before pickup. Between 72 hours and 7 days, you pay the greater of 50% of the first day’s rate or $100. Inside 72 hours, a no-show or an early return gets no refund, but 100% converts into a 12-month reservation credit.
Hours, notice and where the keys are
Book at least 24 hours before you need the van. Pickup and return happen weekdays between 9AM and 5PM, and weekend pickups or returns are allowed if they are booked during business hours.
The van is collected in Killeen. For a church, school or sports team booking, the route is a custom quote rather than a standard online reservation.
Ready to reserve
Choose your dates if you already know the van you want. For anything with a group, a question about mileage or a date that is close, send a note through or call 737-243-3176 on a weekday and we will sort it out.
